Click to find out more about Horseback Riding Lessons : Horseback riding lessons are scheduled for one hour sessions. I start out teaching my students how to halter, lead and work with a horse from the ground. Students will groom, tack and ride. For beginners it will be approximately the third lesson before they ride. It’s $35 for a single lesson or $240 for a package of 8 lessons which makes each lesson $30. Packages are scheduled for once a week on the same day and time for 8 consecutive weeks. Riders under 18 are required to wear riding helmets (provided if needed), all riders must wear jeans and riding boots. Students will start western.

Horse Shows : For current riding students that are ready to compete, there would be an opportunity to participate in local shows.

Girl Scout, Boy Scout or Field Trips
The trip would include a two hour visit to our farm. We will break into small groups to teach the students about horse chores like feeding and mucking a stall, groom a horse and of course everyone will get to ride a horse. There will be a riding demonstration and students will be lead by a Freedom Farm volunteer. There will be several opportunities for pictures. We will be spending our time inside the barn and in our indoor arena so we can plan trips all year long. It will be a trip your students won’t forget. We schedule troop visits Monday - Through Saturday, 10am-6pm. Our calendar fills fast during the summer, so call or email soon to book your outing.
Pricing is $10 per student with a minimal of 10 students or $100 per booking. Each student must have a waiver signed by their parent or guardian.
Each student must wear a riding helmet which will be available.
Jeans and boots or good solid shoes with a small heal are required.
Please let me know if you would like to schedule a troop outing at Freedom Farm.

Birthday Party Details at Freedom Farm
Our birthday package is for 2 hours at the farm, use of our office where you can have cake and presents, then we teach the children how to groom and then each child gets to ride a horse in our indoor arena. The cost is $150 for 8 children, then $20 for each additional child, up to 14 total children. You can come 30 minutes before the party to decorate the office. Then after the party we will allow 30 minutes to clean up. We normally start out in the office where you can have your cake and presents. When that’s done, we move to the indoor arena where we break them into smaller groups for grooming and riding. The children will be led by a Freedom Farm volunteer during the horseback riding portion for safety.
You can also bring a craft to do in the office. We have had parents bring things like cowboy hats and bandannas to decorate, makes for a good picture. We will also have a time where parents can take pictures of the children riding and a group picture with the horses.
▪ Riding helmets will be provided and must be worn during the riding time.
▪ Riders must wear jeans and boots (if boots with a small heel is not available then wear tennis shoes).
▪ Waivers must be signed by parents for each participant.
▪ A $60 deposit is required to save the time slot.
